I haven't watched GH in ages either. The retcon you're describing doesn't sound that bad. I agree that no woman should be "blamed" for having an abortion under any circumstance. But people do that, soap audiences included.

You're so right. Usually, I don't care so much. But ignoring a genre that is so closely connected with women is pretty egregarious oversight in this case. Daytime soaps, even today, are probably the area of pop culture where abortion gets discussed the most.
