Thanks Tasha for the big fat spoiler about the Stark kids in the third paragraph…

Moose is a great and seemingly forgotten one. Their early EPs are about as quintessentially shoegaze as it as it gets. Then sadly they kind of sold out and went more pop on the albums.

It does seem hastily put together. I usually love this feature, but I think the author phoned this one in.

The early Telescopes material is a more rocking omission from this article, but Shoegaze nonetheless. The pre-album EPs are some of the finest stuff from that era, and the first album is also good (the second one is crap).

JEFF The Brotherhood are awesome. How they can be lumped into the same list with the boring, ball-less drivel of Wilco is beyond me though.

Agreed. The new Gringo Star record as well, but how can you argue with Britney Spears!

You have to remember the people at AVC are NOT music snobs.

Well it's nice to see Radiohead finally fall out of favor with ONE site. Thom York could release a recording of himself farting into an oboe and it would get at least 5 stars on Pitchfork with a comparison to Captain Beefheart.
