I don't recall GRRM making Theon sympathetic this early on. In ACoK he regrets killing those boys, but more in a "look what you made me do" kind of deal.

There was also a scene earlier in the year w/ the beardless guy going for his sword when he thought Craster wouldn't let them in. The mutiny bit was well done, I thought.
I thought he penned and sealed the RW letters earlier? But you may very well be right, what with the very deliberate shots of the bloody wax sealing the deal and all.
I liked the Theon scenes, not just because I know the shape of what's coming. Alfie Allen has been great, and i want to see more of him as his captor reveals his true intentions. I do imagine the Theon arc this year has felt pretty superfluous to non-readers, though.
I'm no expert, but isn't the rule of thumb with The Cure not to bother with any album past "Wish?" Again, no expert, so be kind damn you!
Just came back from this, and Tasha is being a bit kind. Definitely a case where the surroundings are more interesting than the people inhabiting them, save perhaps the lady with the Southern accent on the other side of the viewscreen.
I've heard good things about Insidious, but I also understand it's a jump-scare fest and that I cannot abide.
Those Sprint commercials make me feel like an old codger, like what the fuck do you need to record everything for? Get your face out of your phone for two seconds, douchenozzle!
I think the actor's doing an excellent job selling Mance's charisma in the short stints he's been shown. He just needs more on-screen time to jell.
Thanks for posting that story. What a wonderful, interesting life Wilko Johnson has had. Glad he's trying to go out on his own terms.
hey now
I'm betting they circle back 'round to it this season. It's a significant character moment for Sam, and a very big moment for the overall story as that's how we found out the Others can be killed.
Favorite scene of the night has to be Tyrion slowly and very insolently scraping his chair across the floor.
All of this makes sense. I loved Theon's comeuppance at the end of ACOK, while the show just had him getting clonked over the head and dragged off. It was just a delay in the Reek/Bolton bastard storyline.
THEON SPOILERS AHOY
Edmure's an OK dude, just a little impulsive is all.
Whotta way to hand in your V-card. You go, Pod!
The way Reek was handled in the book was a bit confusing. As for adaptation choices, I'm all for a different tack on this one.
Nolan's take on Bats left me a little cold as well. Cerebral is good but those films were downright chilly at times.
i watched an episode out of curiosity and it's cute enough and well written, but otherwise it's another spastic, slapstick happy kids' show, which is fine. I just don't get the fanboyism from dudes my age. MLP does have some pretty nifty musical numbers, though.
