I can get with this. Hershel is almost certainly toast, although I don't want to see Carol go out.

Zach has said that show does small and large moments really well but struggles with the in between moments. I agree w/ that comment..the show can do the super-focused character stuff (the Morgan ep, Merle's brief redemption) and the big zombie battles/action scenes, but man the in between stuff like character

The Merle stuff was indeed good and it makes me wish his whole arc had more time in the oven. Maybe even become integrated into the group and become a regular cast member next season.

On the contrary  I think Todd wants to like the show and if anything stretches a bit to praise certain plotlines or performances.

And next week is going to action-focused which TWD does very well. A supporting character or two will die and I'll try to fool myself that NEXT season will be the one where TWD finally knocks it out of the park. New showrunner, new focus, etc. I'm running out of patience w/ this show, however, as much as I want to like

Is Ben that Allen guy's son? Off to red shirt heaven with you, boy.

I'm hoping for a hoax, but I did read about that Japanese anime body pillow thing in NYT..

Denny's in my town had a claw machine when I was there every weekend during college break. Never could get a prize out of the damn thing either..

That was my thought on Colt - shooting the goon as a way to extricate himself from the situation. He has to be thinking, why would Boyd let him live after the colossal Ellen May fuck up?

I see modern day Val Kilmer.

THe "dick" speech was very Tarantino-y, too. Basically the Madonna speech from the beginning of Reservoir Dogs. Justified is absolutely killing it and has been for weeks..an intense episode that managed to wring some laughs from the situation.
The Bob beatdown was indeed tough to watch. If I question anything this ep,

It was a weird final shot. Andrea looked like a mannequin strapped there like that. I kept waiting on her to blink.

Even his overcoat is evil now. With the eyepatch and overall twitchiness he looks like a comic book villain and only like one or two people in Woodbury can recognize this.

Zach's damning w/ faint praise seems to me. I don't know..don't want to make this into a bitch fest but TWD is becoming like a tedious hourly job for me every week than appointment viewing. I'm just not invested in these people or the story that's being told. I want this show to be good, but it ain't happening for me.

Very nice way to set the tone and storyline. Plus it had a zeppelin.

I've only seen a couple of episodes myself, and what I don't understand is where Hannah is supposed to stand within the cultural milieu. Are 20-something women supposed to relate to this awful person? The whole zeitgeist-y way the show is treated is weird to me because of this. Heaven forbid girls Hannah's age would

In terms of human accomplishment, I'd go, in no particular order, "Girls," the cure for polio, and the invention of the internal combustion engine.

Ha! Me too. Such is the power of the U.S. Marshal Stiffy.

Stop talking crazy!

Colt and Johnny.
