What game was that guy playing? Was it a real game or a generic "I saw a game once so I'll write a dude in who's playing a game." Looked like a Gears of War-ish over-the-shoulder TPS but not one I recognized. I always enjoy how mainstream TV portrays gamers and video games in general (see the infamous Law&Order video

Maybe Raylan will have issues w/ Theo Tonin and Co. as he digs deeper into the Waldo Truth case. Or maybe this year won't  have a big bad as we've been used to. Hell Arlo could be the big bad pulling strings from his cell. Maybe the waters will clear a tad next week.

I could be wrong but isn't the line, "Bitches, leave!"

This week felt a bit "wheel-spinny" to me, but had enough going for it to be a fun watch. it was the little things, like the poor clerk's face as he talked about his 'tasteful boudoir shots."

Had a good hard laugh at Raylan shooting Randall that final time, as promised. Yeah you could see it coming but Randall had conviction on his side.

What was his plan exactly? He did a bump and checked his gun like he was going to shoot Ellen May at the pump. I can't imagine that was his thought but the scene played a tad weird to me. I suppose he needed to stop to gear himself up for the deed, then take Ellen May to the woods for a Sil-and-Ade style coupe de

Colt came out of that a bit of an idiot. Pulls a gun in public and asks a stranger if he's "seen a girl" while holding said gun.

I didn't mind them wrapping up Randall's plotline as such. He's a pathetic loser with a temper, makes sense his master plan is a pig (or chicken) in a poke.

Great work by Abby Miller this week. Her wistfulness about coming home was crushingly sad. I'm half-convinced someone snatched her cuz Ellen May has not shown much in the way of self-awareness in the past.

OK, fill me in, then. Is Thompson the pilot of the coke plane? I FF over the 'last week on.." and the Thompson name-dropping this week threw me a bit.

::sweater knotted about his shoulders, piloting a small sailboat::

The central conflict had me a bit confused with Drew Thompson/Waldo Truth name-dropping. Eve was Thompson's wife? She looked too young to my eyes. And the Johnny betrayal felt a little extraneous to me as well, and apparently to Noel too as he did not mention it until the 'stray observations." I don't know, my game

I also liked the look on Tim's face when he was scoping Jud smoking pot. Funny stuff.

what's great is how seamlessly the side-quest stuff is tying into the main plot. When Justified started out if was more "lawbreaker of the week" but last season and the first two weeks of this year the show's come out swinging.

I love Wynn Duffy. Steals scenes during every one of his brief appearances. The show needs more of him if they can fit him amid the carnival of characters that meander through the show. Great ep and great write up!

Somebody already said this here, but I'm hoping the HBO show spurs him to finish the series a bit sooner. Plus that "Mereenese knot" he was dealing with is passed. Any chance Winds of Winter comes out next year, say autumn? Then Song of Spring hits shelves in '17. That's as good as we're likely going to get in terms

Wow! Thanks for thorough reply! I will probably have to give these a go. My fantasy reading trends toward the so-called "gritty" (Martin, Abercrombie, Donaldson) but I love Tolkein of course and there's nothing wrong with some comfortable, PG-13 fantasy adventuring.

Interestingly GRRM told the HBO showrunners the major plot points right up to the end of the series, just in case he kicks off before finishing the books.

I have yet to read a one of the WoT series.. Tell me true, Hipster, is it worth getting into now that the end is finally here?

Grown Ups 2 an early shoe-in for '13 Razzies!
