If anything I have difficulty believing the Michonne/Andrea friendship b/c we didn't see them in their 8 months on the road together and only know them from their bickering on screen. Hence their scenes have been a bit flat to me. Yeah, Glenn's dialogue was on the nose, and I don't understand what the deal is with

To me, Roth has always been one of those writers for whom the act of writing is more important than the narrative itself, something I've never been able to get on with. The man is obviously gifted, but I've grown tired of literary masturbation. Just give me a good, compelling story, damn you!

The survival elements are interesting enough for me, at least the way they're doing it this season. i suppose they could completely diverge from the source material and do an overarching "let's find a cure" plot, but personally that kind of formula would not be as interesting.
