I was just in Portugal and apparently had been learning the language with a Brazilian accent. People were very confused and that language remains weird as hell.

You know what else I don't get? How rarely we talk about how airlines are huge polluters. I mean, air travel is never going to go away, but if we're serious about fighting climate change, rail travel needs to be a viable alternative, and it just isn't.
