@whataworkout: Did you check out that script? If Lohan OR Akerman can pull it off it'll be one for the ages.
guys, Bryant and Greg Gumbel are brothers.
that review made me want to see that movie. it's got a giant yeti in it!
I think she's a little………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….dorky.
The Nick Vatterott set reminds me of trend where comedians would introduce a joke or idea in the beginning/middle of a set and allude back to it at the end. Sometimes it was cool, like Lewis Black's "If it weren't for my hoorse [sic]…" bit, and above I think it works really well, too, but too often it was employed…
You can rearrange those poorly-constructed non-sentences into something that makes sense if you want.
I think what Albini is trying to get at is that the commercialization of "alternative" was the impetus for what he describes in "The Problem With Music." Sonic Youth is just the straw man this particular time. Did they get screwed? Not necessarily. Did Nirvana and Pavement get screwed? Probably not. Did a lot of…
I like the bit about Van Alden trying to "get a handle" on the "flow" of illegal liquor. Wakka wakka!
some bits worked in the sketch for me (esp. Bob being forced to get dressed), but I wasn't incredibly amused by the streakers. I think it's because I was born in the 80's.
that's one of my favorite sketches. it's kind of adorable how pathetic and needy the character is, and Bob's performance is what sells it.
nice comment from your mom, bro
Martyrs

It's a movie that starts out as an adequate, sometimes derivative (the creature that antagonizes Lucie appears to be on loan from the latest J-Horror remake) exercise in jump-scares and trendy horror tricks, and turns on a dime into…
from that article:
"Bieber has crossed the color boundaries the same way that hip-hop has crossed the boundaries the other way for a number of years," Stephen Hill, BET's President of Music Programing and Specials, told Reuters, describing Bieber as a crossover artist. "He's had rhythm in his music. He makes the type…
that first line
"James Murphy is that rare man of his time whose personal hang-ups reflect those of his generation"
Oh but you'd miss all kindsa good stuff, Lipp! Carson Daly talks about a sandwich he had at this place in LA that he really likes. Then he talks about a band and manages to simultaneously be hyperbolic and bland. It's glorious!
actually, she has a boyfriend. she just likes the extra attention.
my impression was that things were pretty stable in his whole neck of the woods.
Woah there, Emperor Jim. I think you should spend some time in Australia before you frame comments about anyone being particularly redneck. Alabamans are decent, creative, hard-working people.
that one ran way out of steam at the end. oh well.
