"and an elephant that never forgets…TO KILL."
It depends what you're looking for in a Final Fantasy game. I'd recommend VI for its absolutely brilliant story and characters, or V for its job-system and surprisingly fun sense of humour - there's a lot of ribbing between the main characters that shows that they genuinely like each other as friends, which I really…
So this weekend - after I take my driving theory test - I'll be playing through and hopefully completing Transistor. Picked it up in the last few days of the Steam Sale, and it hasn't disappointed me at all. The story so far is brilliant - I've just found Grant and Asher and I'm now in the middle of the second Spine…
Comment/username synergy is off the charts right here.
I'm going to need a bucket of them.
I have the weirdest boner right now!
Community's been renewed.
I haven't heard of that game. Is it available on Steam sale?
Oooooooh, I haven't really heard of that. A quick look at Wikipedia - steering clear of the synopsis of course - does intrigue me though. I do love me some P&C adventuring (I've been waiting for ages for Broken Age to drop below a tenner, hopefully soon!). Thanks a lot!
Oh God, the hidden passages. They're a bloody nightmare (and weirdly terrifying in the dark, but then I'm a wuss).
Oooooh, thanks for the heads-up. What is DSFix, out of interest?
Out of interest, where did you get stuck on it? I had to Alt-Tab to a guide when I didn't realise that I'd failed to explore half a corridor and mistook the map's blanking as the edge of reality itself. The lack of explaining in Gone Home is a really strong story-telling advantage, but it's also so aggravating for…
Ahhhh, thanks for the reassurance. I'm not a particularly skilled-uberl33t-hXc gamer, hence the trepidation at having my face smashed into mulch every ten seconds. I've heard really good things about the world of Dark Souls, and I'm all about the exploration. That's probably why Gone Home gave me such a nerd-boner -…
Ah, right - I must admit, the only other Bioware RPG I've played was about half an hour of Mass Effect - which I wasn't too keen on. I'll try playing Dragon Age without the PC Controller/crutch I've been using for gaming and see how I adjust to it. Maybe this is a case where my ignorance is bliss!
Oh, definitely! The cassette tapes are a lovely touch as well - especially with the hand-written labels on them. They denote such a personal touch that I really, really enjoyed. I hope you enjoy the rest of it - I can gush over it for HOURS.
Don't be silly, men can't change lightbulbs anymore due to modern gynocentric culture keeping us alphas down (somehow). I read about it in a long and factually-questionable essay on the Red Pill subreddit.
Men's Rights Activists would have a field day with that one.
After completing Guacamelee and Gone Home over the last week and bloody loving them, I think I'll be spending this weekend flitting capriciously between Dragon Age: Origins and, more embarrassingly (somehow than "fuck-friendly fantasy"), Euro Truck Simulator 2.
I picked up Gone Home in the Steam Sale, and now my friends hate me because all I want to talk about is how much I loved everything about it. I love its atmosphere, its story, its subtlety - pretty much its EVERYTHING.
Hey America - good luck for yer football tonight from Scotland. Considering that our football team are too shite to qualify for international competitions, I find myself harbouring quite the soft spot for your team. Fingers crossed that you batter Germany and top the group!
