Glad Tidings is my favorite use of music in any Sopranos episode.

Dealing With the Dead
I'm not a particularly morbid person but this episode, To Save Us All From Satan's Power, and Proshai Livushka are three of my absolutely favorite episodes and all run on that same theme.

Yeah, I think it was in Cold Cuts when Bobby's kid straight up tells Janice she wasn't her parent. At which point Janice very coldly declares "I'm here and I try to care very much."

Surfin' USA
Glad you mentioned the song choice at the end of this episode, Todd. I just love how it starts off as Tony's alarm clock and then as he steps out on the balcony it kicks into full sound.

I was trying to remember what Walt's short-lived assistant's name was the other day but couldn't. God it's been too long. Gil? Gale? Hale? Something dainty.

I hear there are a lot of all-you-can-eat buffets in Vegas.

Ah Those First Real World Seasons…
Back when MTV acknowledged the existence of homely looking young people.

Breaking Bad Did It
Not sure if anyone's mentioned it but the breakthrough via surveillance camera in the ATM machine pond was already fished dry by Hank on Breaking Bad this past season. I mean, if you're gonna rip off a show at least do it from a show on another network. Geesh.

I think every single one of Dennis Hopper's lines in Blue Velvet contains at least one "fuck" in some form or another.

More and More Everyday
I'm convinced O'Neal is responsible for Fuck Yeah Ryan Gosling, and may or may not have a Gosling poster hanging in his AV Club locker. Man crushing much, bro?

A quick google search confirms it was Honest Ike.

Emma "Cooter" Fingerwood when she was in the Blowholes. My god that's raunchy.

Endless Mike might have been the best name ever thought up for a schoolyard bully.

That's 'cuz things ain't ever as good as they used to be.

I believe it was Dwight D. Eisenhower.

a movie where Philip Baker Hall walks his dog would be an immediate must-see

Nice Screen Grab
Somebody accomplished what I've wanted to for years—taking an elephant-sized dump on Courtney Love's head.

It's cherry, dude.

No, I did not think he had charm but he tried to convey charm mainly with his fashionista wardrobe. Dude rocked ascots on the regular.

Hasn't Been Mentioned Yet
It's a very small but odd little detail: seeing Tony in a Bada Bing shirt at the end of the episode. I believe it's the only time in the series Tony's wearing any type of logo or brand and it is completely out of place for his character.
