I don't understand Swedish
Can someone translate her speech for me?

Oh shit!
THERE'S A GHOST IN MY HOUSE!

Love soccer. I was at a "Canadian" bar in Hong Kong once. Wanted to watch some World Cup matches. My buddy asked the owner (his friend) to switch it. The owner said, "We only show REAL sports here!"

Losers
I've been trying to tell people how great the Fall are for the past 15 years, but no one believes me

Eater of Birds is definitely great, though I would definitely not call it some of the best metal of 2009.

War metal
I'd like to see Leonard discuss Cobalt's Gin. Some of the best 09 metal

strayfarce, it's not literally a cradle of filth?

Funny
I tend to think of the Hold Steady as the band Craig Finn was in after Lifter Puller

Funny you mention Maladroit. I thought it was awful when it first came out. I put it on last week for the first time since then, and it sounded pretty good.

Revisionist history?
It's funny. Perhaps it's because of my age (14 or 15), but I never remember Pinkerton being a letdown. I liked it; my friends liked it. Some of my friends' friends enjoyed it as well. I remember most of us listening to it through high school.

In the Rectory…
Disappointed that Reverend Bizarre's In the Rectory… didn't show up.

Reminds me of that Onion article
Ironic Porn Purchase Leads To Unironic Ejaculation

And you know what, fuck it, I think Monster is a really good album. Maybe odd in their catalogue, but it'll win going toe to toe with most anything else that came out in 94. And 94 was a good music year.

Automatic was their last great one. Monster had its moments, but it was mostly a misfire that was semi-redeemed with New Adventures. Since then, I haven't bothered to listen to anything really. I didn't like the Great Beyond, and that song was leaving New York was more Wallflowers than REM. So they started around 80

Let's just all agree that REM were pretty unfuckwithable for a while.

Tom Jones? Is there anything that guy can't do?

two songs
The two songs I had played at my wedding were

Yeah,
These guys rule

It was Dropout Boogie.

No, it was obnoxious and terrible.
