I've used that WHY! MUST! LIFE! BE! SO! HARD! spiel more than once. Usually related to romantic frustrations.

Bowie wasn't bad as Andy, but I never got over the feeling I was watching David Bowie. Lane Pryce is actually the best one I've seen.

*Taylor Swift sings a dance-pop version of "Turn, Turn, Turn."*

    Maggie's gone all right-wing now. That's a road I'd rather not travel.

Yep, that wasn't a recording. He sang the opening theme song live every single week.

He especially deserves kudos for Scaramanga, probably one of the most badass Bond villains ever. Too bad he was stuck in such a shitty movie. Part of me hoped that he'd come back to face off against Craig.

I was really hoping he was immortal. Bummer.

I felt really sorry for them after reading this. I remember liking some of their other songs and it's not like they were trying to sell out at all. It's like they're trapped in '90s Signifier Hell through no fault of their own.

Tommy Wiseau would probably be interested.

Was just coming down here to post this. I remember reading something about how Kevin Smith paid $7,000 to get the entire series run of Degrassi on videotape. I'd say something like, "I'm sure he totally doesn't feel stupid now", but I'm actually pretty sure he doesn't.

Blue Is The Warmest Color is on there. That sure gets the job done for me.

I love how the Marriott is Mormon-owned while the pay-per-view menu has some of the skeeviest porn you can imagine.

I remember thinking their song "Somebody" was really romantic when I was in high school. It was one of those great ways to imagine what having a relationship would be like when you're never actually had sex.

Is that really Max Casella, Jr? If it is, I'd bump it up half a grade to a C.

That U2 song is the last thing they ever did that was worth a damn.

I like EBTG fine, but "Protection" is probably the greatest thing she'll ever be involved in.

I saw the Rentals open for Blur in January of 1996. They were fine.

Live was a bit like the Doors; in a lot of ways, their frontman was their weakest link. Take away his pseudo-profound babbling and they weren't a bad band.

Think of it as Casino Royale Part II and it's fine. It's not the best Bond film, but it's nowhere near the disaster of something like Die Another Day.

Man, did I listen to that one to death. I still like Helmet's version of the Gigantor theme.
