Haven't clicked on the link, but no The Heavy, Darlene Love, Sonny and Cher, Warren Zevon, or R.E.M. equals immediate bullshit. Cher's never done much for me, but that performance of "I Got You Babe" still chokes me up a little.

There's certainly plenty of crap at the indie end of the spectrum, but make no mistake: we're at the point where the main point of comic book movies is to sell stuff. Any quality (and there's a fair amount) is incidental. Look back at Ang Lee's Hulk movie, whose moody tone and darker themes were diametrically…
