I started out on rock and heavy metal because I had a weird Japanese radio set up for lower FM frequencies, and the only interesting station I could get was at the far right end of the dial at 92.3 KSJO.  1984-85 marked my dalliance with pop music, since guys with New Wave hairdos got the girls, and the heshers…

The Finks.  On the strengths of Fill 'Er Up and Go! I traced the band's members back to The Witchdoctors and followed them up through The Bomboras, The Huntington Cads, The Legendary Invisible Men and Lords of Altamont. Tons of good surf/garage/biker fuzz there.

Beer, wurst, sauerkraut and plum kuchen.  How is it possible this is the only Delaware ethnic festival I haven't been to?

I was in the liquor store yesterday, and it was awash in pumpkin beers.  And there are Ivins Spiced Wafers in the grocery store.  It's August, man, can't you let me hang on to summer just a little while longer?
