After reading lots of comments, I think I can conclude something about these alternate cuts.
These lists aren't actually a reflection of the quality of the changes.

I have to bring up Daredevil.  While the movie remains unbalanced, the directors cut restores some of their legal work, which actually ties into the ending, and makes the whole movie make sense.

I believe that the dance is called the "Bat-Tusi."  I feel that it could also be written "Batusi" since it's a variation of the watusi.

I actually saw Dog Soldiers for the first time a couple months ago.  I kept feeling really conflicted.  I had an impossible time with a lot of their accents, and there were no subtitles available.  It moved pretty slowly for most of it, then went for solid action for the last 20 minute or so.  It wasn't especially

I've never been a fan of Kevin Smith, except for a brief period when I was around 13.   Comic Book Men did nothing to help fandom.
But I actually understand what he's talking about.  I think he's looking for a more enthusiastic, positive approach to reviewing movies.  I enjoy watching low budget, straight-to-video

I never thought of it that way… the whole sequence has him making a point of being tired of pretending to be someone else, and that he wanted to find his own music.  It could be interpreted as a continuation of his Eddie Adams in Boogie Nights - Eddie Adams is Dirk Diggler is Brock Landers.  In this case, he decided

Am I the only one who really enjoyed Rock Star?  Yes, it's got a lot of silly stuff in it, but so does hair metal.  I think it's approximately as believable as the number of fans attending shows in the Wayne's World movies.
And as a person who doesn't care about hair metal, the songs in that movie actually made me care

You look like you just got out of the showa.

Unlike nearly everyone else, I've never minded Cleveland Show.  It isn't terribly funny, but there's almost always at least one or two inspired gags in the show.  I enjoy some of the performances.  The dumb stuff feels easier to ignore than it does on Family Guy.

I just rewatched Kick-Ass last week.  I understand why people have problems with it.
But I was wondering about how plausible it would be to make a movie of the second series of comics.  While the first one was fairly violent, it pressed our buttons in different ways.  The second series has some large scale massacring

A generational curse?  "I learned from watching you, dad!"

About 11:10 into this episode, there is my favorite gag in it.  Hearing Jay singing "Honey… yeah sugar sugar…. where is my candy bar?   I think it was a Charleston Chew…"  The smoothness of his voice, his enthusiasm in singing about looking for a candy bar.  It's such a small gag that defines his love of food.
But that
