When Tasha stood up as Jeremy announced his need to use the bathroom, I hoped she would follow him. Alas, it was not to be. Bathroom time is sacred on Survivor, apparently.

Yeah, this episode made me think Joe just isn't strategizing and is committed to winning immunity and "stick[ing] to the plan." I'd love to know if there's more to his game than that. (Otherwise, honestly, even if he wins immunity henceforth, impressive though that would be, I think his other finalists would have a…
That's my only real complaint about this episode. Wiglesworth has been such a nonentity that to have the others talk about her as such a threat came out of nowhere. I get that it's because 1) she doesn't give good TV, and 2) it made for a more suspenseful episode, but it lessened the impact of the #blindside.
At one point I exclaimed, "Oh my God, Joe's going to lose immunity to ABI*!"
But now that Peyton, Blaine, Liv, and Ravi are friends again, is it plausible that none of them has talked about Blaine specifically enough for the others to connect the dots to the Blaine they know?
I do, however, like that even when he's being charming and is temporarily on the right side, the show doesn't hesitate to remind us that Blaine murdered troubled/homeless teens and an astronaut. It's hard not to like him, but the show never tries to pretend he's anything but charmingly reprehensible.
I can't disagree with that (and I haven't read much recent King either, except Under the Dome, which I didn't hate but didn't like as much as others).
I'm with Dr. Klahn that I liked Koontz a lot when I first started reading him when I was younger, but it's a case of diminishing returns (such that one's "favorite" Koontz is likely to be one of the first ones read). He really is kind of a hack Stephen King; I mean, King has some hacky tendencies too, but I remember…
That's my purse!
It's a shame too, because I really like Jordana Spirko, who plays the sister. I'd hoped the role would give her more to do.
Dude, that's a palimpsest! Someday people will study you. Well, your corpse. Still, win!
Nah. He's attractive, but professors and students (even grad students) dating — at least while the one is in a position of power over the other — is a big no in my book.
I'm an asshole because earlier today I talked to my students about how the French militantly protect their language and mocked them a little. This has nothing to do with these events, of course; I just feel like a jerk for mocking the French on a day that would turn out to be so fucking awful for them.
NOBODY ordered a terrorist attack. Take it right away!
I think they said that Pandora and Nevins were working together all along. Of course that's still a complete retrofit. . . .
I do like that they're keeping Crane's and Abbie's relationship platonic yet essential. Joe boomeranging Crane's advice to "talk to her" back on him — not because Crane has romantic feelings towards Abbie like Joe has towards Jenny — was a good return to that fundamental connection between the two leads. Also, I quite…
On that note, if Abi and Ciera didn't know Kelly had an idol, why did they vote for Savage, knowing they didn't have the numbers? Did they think other people might be flipping? (I genuinely just can't remember how it went down.)
I worry about Kelly's and Ciera's gleefulness coming back on them, though. Ciera is such an obvious shit-stirrer that I don't see her getting back in with a majority, and Kelly's not doing anything to distance herself from Ciera, making them seem like a package deal. I like both Ciera and Kelly, but I think Kelly has…
I've decided Fishback is exaggerating his challenge ineptness so that once some of the more physical guys are voted out, he can suddenly start performing well and winning immunity challenges, giving him one more route to the finals. I realize this is probably nonsense, but I just can't fathom that cartoonish level of…
I mean, I'm still going to stay up past midnight playing Persona because priorities, but I respect those who make good decisions.
