I would post my school's (I'm sure it was popular elsewhere, too) Jingle Bells parody, but it's rife with racial slurs. Oh, Mississippi in the early 80s (or anytime, really)…

Wait, what? Is this some sort of anti-comedy thing I'm not aware of? The AV Club, I mean, not whatever this RLM thing is.

Yours, too? Or are we talking about the same town? Mine rhymes with Purham, Gorth Barolina.

Cool, AVC will be covering food now. You know what else they should do? Music reviews. But since I'm the only person left who buys CDs, tell me more about which fast food chain has the best apple pies. Sigh.

I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Phoenix. I no longer teach. Coincidence? Read the book.

I think my wife and I gave up around season 5 or 6. It got too cheesy for us. But it was cheesy fun up to a point. Basically, it was a slow creep from early Xena to Cleopatra 2525 over six seasons (so, essentially early Xena to late Xena, I guess). However, I never realized how uniformly terrible the episode names

It would certainly be an outlier in your collection (or anyone's, really), but: Klaus Nomi.

I don't mind that you and so many others love it. As far as I know Magnolia has never killed a puppy or sent a racist Tweet. But for me, I just watched 3 hours of assholes being assholes to each other, then it rains frogs because why the hell not. I know that's a glib summation, but I was strangely unmoved by all the

It wasn't until Six Feet Under that I really understood just HOW MUCH I hate Alan Ball. But the seeds were planted here (but like most folks, I was briefly sucked into the hype—and I'll concede there are a couple of cool scenes, but the overall feeling is "ooh, aren't you feeling emotions now?"). Bleah.

Needs more Morphine. Also, it's the name of a band you should really check out…

I keep thinking, 7 months in, that eventually I'll be able to listen to Blackstar without weeping. And still I wait…

Extensively covered here previously, so doesn't fit the criteria.

Oh My God, Zeal and Ardor. It's confusing and weird and compelling all at the same time. I think that means I love it.

I saw Nothing on tour earlier this summer, and it actually made me like their records less. Maybe it was an off night. They've certainly got all the elements of a band I should like. Maybe next year…

I agree re: Low. Didn't get into them until Things We Lost in the Fire, but I got hooked in a big way. At one point I had way too many crappy compilations that had one Low song on them. Thank god for that rarities box set. And yes, that remix thing isn't very good (owL, right?). What was the other one that didn't make

See also "Love the One You're With". Man, they have a lot of great covers as well as originals. So underrated.

Not gonna read the 700+ comments to see if these have already been covered, but:
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
The Muppets
They Came Together
Bring It On

5 is really good, but I find myself going back to 4 more often (although it's a little different than the others). And Tactics is worth it, too, if you've never played FFT.

Cheating is bad. Richard Basehart is good.

Using the built-in cheat code for the first Medievil can be fun if you're just trying to run through the game. Using it in Medievil 2 is mandatory no matter what.
