Having read an earlier draft of the Prometheus script (prior to Lindelof's involvement), I can say I don't think it's fair that he gets the blame that he's gotten - most of the plot holes and issues were already there.

Considering how dumb the prior several Trek movies were - besides, I suppose, The Undiscovered Country - I don't think we can blame Orci/Kurtzmann for that.
