Was that music store employee the dude from TV On The Radio?

When Gretchen crashed her car she seemed to be initially concerned that her tacos fell out of the bag onto the floorboard. I'm so glad those days are behind me.

He's definitely a sweetheart. I love that he offered to help serve food at the wedding. It was heartbreaking yet adorable and really rang true to his character.

The use of Oasis, "Fucking in the Bushes" was great during the boxing scenes in Snatch. That's a good one for sure.

That was really soul crushing to see him at the kids table trying to make some simple conversation with those kids.

Or getting married just because so many people are conditioned to do so by a certain age. I see married couples like these all the time. It's kinda frightening.

That's a good call. Like when Lindsay pointed out that the food processor gift was one level below hers so she can never beat her, "bitch".

His delivery and appearance reminds me of Donald Glover but the characters inspiration is all Tyler, The Creator.

Oh man, I gotta rewatch the episode tonight. I missed that one. Her coked out monologues were sooooo good. She's got some range.

Tru dat

It was a bad list, but I think he realized that then took a bunch of dingus pics and said what he said to Becca. Much more effective action plan. I also like how Vernon appreciated Jimmy taking dingus pics on the disposable cameras as a "classic heckle".

2. Sex with Becca is like humping a pile of wet beach towels.

That radio host reminded me of an old fat Fred Armisen still being funny.

One more thing.

I get the vibe that Jimmy listened to a lot of Joy Division as a brooding youth. I felt like at the end of the episode he was trying to channel his inner Ian Curtis that he just wished he had in him, musically that is.

If this show gets renewed, I'll be very interested to see what happens with Paul's character. He's a brilliant stroke on the writer's part. I think he represents a very necessary minority opinion/personality that gives the show some balance.

Anyone notice how awful Sam/Shitstain/Honeynuts (fake OddFuture) lyrics/rap skill was in the flashback, (I guess Sam was the only one rapping at the beginning) then present day they were all killing it on the mic (IMO) at the end of the episode?

You're dead on the money with that manic Schwimmer observation. Which is a big reason I don't buy him as an Iraq vet. I like him as a character just fine. But hey, the military has a lot of folks in it. I'm sure there's a Schwimmer type pulling night watch duty right now somewhere.

Maybe I went overboard on the "poignant" statement, I'd have to give it some more thought and review the episodes again. I guess You're the Worst just simply surpassed my expectations by a long shot while Married has for the most part been consistently underwhelming, for me.

The only line I actually laughed at tonight. Gelman's AJ character is the most awful of the bunch yet the most consistently funny. His delivery works for me, I suppose.
