To be fair, WCOG, there are a little more than 200 countries in the world, so it's possible that Jeff Daniels was counting in the opposite direction.

Even Bruce Hornsby has to be better than the guy that Spike Lee's been letting ruin his movies lately. Miracle at St. Anna may have been a flawed film in a number of respects (though there were aspects I quite liked), but by far the worst thing about it was the score. Good lord is that guy overbearing.

I think this objection is fair, but like @avclub-08492e6975b03597bd4f8659b650362b:disqus said, the artistry matters even if the message is the object, especially on a site like this one. By making its characters a mouthpiece to talk about society's ills, rather than people negatively affected by them, this is a lot

If this show's going to be set in the real world, they need to clarify how real we're talking here. I'm pretty sure that Phillip Baker Hall has never been a Republican Congressman. And the brief moment where Sam Waterson mourned the loss of a dedicated public servant in Ohio's 12th was distracting, since I happen to

Supposedly before Mark felt revealed himself as Deep Throat, Nora Ephron would tell basically anyone who asked her directly because she hated Bernstein so much.

This theory is directly supported by the text - remember when, during the robbery/Reaver raid at the beginning of Serenity, Mal shoots the guy who's just been taken? The Reavers just drop him immediately.

Yeah, I was as impressed as the food execs were (pretending to be?) last episode with Gary's hyper-competence. That is a valuable person to have around even if they will inevitably come off as weird and sycophantic. To reference another HBO show, it reminded me of Jaime's speech to his cousin about squiring when they
