Yeah I always liked Cocker's version and how it made it much more bittersweet. It helped that The Wonder Years used it for that fantastic opening sequence.

Isn't he, like, 3 years too old for college?
Her?
That'd be kick-ass especially because Mae Whitman now looks just…damn. I'd enjoy seeing a now-hot Anne making trouble for George-Michael or GOB.
Did you know Alaskan Thunderfuck is a strain of weed?
I think what was going on there is a fear a lot of entertainers and artists have, especially younger ones, that they will be cut down before they've accomplished all they want to accomplish with their craft. It seems like a lot of artistic types don't live as long as "regular" people, since that creative spark often…
I was concerned that Michael Cera had lost too much of his chubby babyface to still be as lovably dorky as an older George-Michael, but apparently those khakis and polo shirt were a bigger factor in making him look perpetually 15 than I realized.
Mistah S!
I dunno, he looks pretty good for his age if you don't look above the neck.
Below the neck=40
Above the neck=90.
It's weird how you can't really extract the melancholy from the song. if anything it's more melancholy in this key because the lyrics and Stipe's delivery are so at odds with the "happy" music.
Ah, OSQ!
It would be great if they produce a definitive finale for DVD or iTunes or Netflix. But then again, they might just get picked up by another network again. Who knows?
Something occurred to me during this episode. Dany is kind of the Anti-Joffrey. Joffrey has come into power through no effort or strength of his own, while Dany has busted her ass to make herself powerful. Both are incredibly young and inexperienced, which leads people to question their right to rule. Joffrey has…
Actually, from what I read on EW's site, it sounds like they wrote the season finale as a possible series finale, since they didn't have a guarantee the show would be renewed.
That was Fox. Since they were still producing the new episodes (sort of) they were all gung-ho to do it for as cheap as possible because they're Fox.
I enjoy saying "I'll kill all of you! Especially those of you in the jury!" Even my parole officer thought it was funny.
Walt is definitely Stromboli.
Probably the most accurate prediction I've seen so far. Walt is enough of an asshole to probably try to spin it like "Mike was going to go to the police, I had no choice"
Either/or
This kind of looks like the "My DEA Brother-In-Law is onto us, and we need to figure out how to get him off our asses, or kill him in a way that my family will never know" conversation.
