@avclub-7531a93baf5da0105892793cdeaf8cf8:disqus You might be on to something. Remember in the pilot where he tried to kill himself by taking on the police?

Andrea and Marie, in that order.

Wasn't this Heath Ledger's last movie? Or am I giving it way too much credit?

Is it weird that I only watch this show because of Bernadette?

He makes the killing of Zod sound like the cinematic equivalent of killing Krazy-8. I think David S. Goyer might have envisioned Superman as a harrowing, Breaking Bad-esque tale of one man's journey into the depths of evil for some reason.

Yeah, I was just thinking, his description of the second episode sounds pretty close to where FRINGE was during its first ten episodes.

I'll forgive the writers for not killing Jack in the pilot, just because it gave us, "We have to go back!"

Ohh, that's what was up with the necklace. I just thought the writers had decided to throw in a random "Lord of the Rings" reference. Like Walt was Gollum or something.

This episode may not have had the emotional intensity of the last two, but come on. It was still a beautiful, haunting episode that really tore deep into the sad mind of an old man waiting to die alone.

I'm sort of hoping for a reprise of the Narcocorrido song from Season 2.

He had made up his mind ten minutes ago.

HE is the one who melts faces

I'll just say, this might have been the best episode of this half-season. "Ozymandias" was great, but brutal. But there's something about this one… the sense of isolation, the pine trees scraping the blue sky, the snow, the loneliness. It was like purgatory for Walter. And they captured that feeling so well. It was

I'm not even sure where the Schwartzes are now, it's been so long since we've seen them. Are they still in Albuquerque?

Oh, I think after all the writers have put him through, Jesse might be the ONLY one who survives.

Just when I thought Jesse could not possibly be put through any more suffering. If anyone makes it out of this show alive, I hope it's him. And maybe Marie.

Yeah, I'd been reading a lot of fan theories that those two were somehow going to return in the last couple of episodes and Walt was going to kill them.

First, congratulations to the year's best drama.

BEST DRAMA! They nailed it!!! :)

@avclub-cd01e5786d65f27654ca570edef28c69:disqus Oh, so did I. That's the most I've felt for Walt since the beginning of this half-season.
