Yeah, when you think about that scene in "Buried" (episode 10) where Uncle Jack and his gang descend on Declan's lair and kill everyone, in retrospect we know the writers were setting them up to be the antagonists.

Yes.
Walt Junior's moment of heroism in that scene was the only part of this episode that wasn't agonizing.
Yeah, Walt knew the police were listening and wanted them to know that Skyler was not an accomplice.
So, the picture is there to remind him of what will happen to the people he cares about if he tries to escape?
How about the scene where Skyler says, "Where's Hank? Where's Hank?"
Yeah, I just sat there numb through the whole episode. Undeniably a great hour of television, but almost unbearable.
"You're the smartest guy I ever met. And you're too stupid to see, he made up his mind ten minutes ago."
