But, he got sliced in half!
But, he got sliced in half!
This is true. But I LOVE the way he says, "She's in middle school…"
@avclub-33807fbc68d335db8080d3c10cb78822:disqus Agreed. In terms of being "literary," Arrested Development is superior. It's like a post-modern novel. For what it does, it's insanely brilliant.
@avclub-b97fa993e1616965ac436401de58042d:disqus Season 4 of Breaking Bad. Although there's something else being aired right now that might give it a run for its money.
@avclub-2ac233bc53744593f485e5752aaa692a:disqus Yeah, when I get online and see the words, "Dwight's Speech / Take Your Daughter to Work Day - B minus" … I'm pretty sure I'm being trolled.
"… the kids of “Take Your Daughter To Work Day” are short-term presences
who shake up an entire workday, exposing different sides of the
characters and asking pertinent questions (“Why doesn’t the sawmill just
sell the paper directly to people?”) about the show’s status quo."
"… but for me, there’s nothing in the rest of The Office that’s sadder than a young Michael Scott leaving a cat puppet in stunned silence."
This is a pretty damned good episode, though I think "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" is the better of the two. Neither of them deserves less than an A - .
We must NEVER ACQUEISCE, for it is TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL!
When I grow up I want to get married and have a hundred kids, that way I can have a
hundred friends, and no one can ever say no to being my friend.
@avclub-d980b15d49101608dc407770f35b1d75:disqus I can only assume you're joking. He was very far away from that turtle when it blew up. And he OWNED those cousins.
@avclub-ea1026696cadc48775907505feafed8e:disqus Fomments.
@avclub-2b88c1c9536414bc2c9e43d902eadcd0:disqus Jean is shorter than Brutus but taller than Imhotep. Imhotep is taller than Jean, but shorter than Lord Scotland. Lord Scotland is twice the height of Jean and Brutus combined but only one-tenth of the height of Millsy. Millsy is at a constant height of x - y. If Jean…
@avclub-9d5f6881b7700a87a8be01e17552cebd:disqus Haha! At least you didn't give me the "cool story, bro." That's the one I was really dreading.
@mike__tv:disqus Thank you!
Speaking of which, did you see Slate accidentally posted a spoiler-filled review early this morning? Holy hell.
This show is becoming the most valuable thing on television for folks who are in abusive relationships and might not know it yet. These last couple of episodes they've been very explicit in highlighting the warning signs and rationalizations that victims sometimes make.
Can't figure out who Gus is in this scenario… it's on the tip of my tongue…
That actually happened in the Bible in the book of 1 Samuel. Making this Older than Feudalism.
@avclub-9d5f6881b7700a87a8be01e17552cebd:disqus Well, I've been wanting Hank & Jesse to team up for WEEKS now. Plus I had just remembered that he left the office at the end of the last episode and didn't say where he was going. So it made the most sense.
