For me it was Brighten the Corners by Pavement. I listened to that album roughly a million times over the course of the year. LA Confidential is up there too. I remember going to see it opening day and walking out of the theater blown away when it was over.
A new GBV album? Is it already Friday again?
Riff Randell beats all comers in my book.
Someone should punch Jared Leto in the face in every movie. Including home movies taken by his friends and relatives.

If nothing else, a new Lilith Fair could give angry man-children the opportunity to rant on the internet yet again about how unfair it is to have something targeted toward women while conveniently ignoring the fact that 99% of all festivals are men-only simply by default.
All Mod Cons is an all-time favorite.
Tim by the Replacements wins this one in a landslide.
