If that means Del gets to give an acceptance speech at some point, I'm all for it.

Between Rapping Rodney and Mel Brooks.

It was years after that song was a hit that I saw the video and realized that the Vanilla Ice they're pounding was played by Henry Rollins.

The Scott La Rock School for Prophylactics exhibit is sure to be popular with grade school field trips

Only one Portland contains the International Museum of Cryptozoology. So, suck it Oregon

But they were so pleasant about addressing our concerns during the newswire comment changeover.

Luka gets a job as a busboy.

It seems that every time I read something new about her, I can't decide if she's just full of shit or is dazzlingly stupid. Luckily the AV Club has taught me that it can be two things.

No Bloop? Why no Bloop?

Dinosaur Jr. is the second loudest show I've ever seen. Mudhoney takes the top spot though. I couldn't hear for a solid day afterward and I wasn't that close to the stage

My shoe doesn't even have a dial tone. I'm a complete failure.

To this day, my wife and I will use it conversationally. "Can you grab some Malk at the store? I'm low on Vitamin R".

When she first started getting popular around the I Kissed A Girl time period, Katy Perry was in a Proactiv commercial where she held a shoe to her ear like it was a telephone. That bit of inspired wackiness pretty much told me that she wasn't for me.

I'm not sure how they were by the end as drugs seemed to be looming pretty large in their lives butmost of the mid-period live stuff I've heard was great. Either way, would've loved to have seen them.

I got into Husker Du a couple years after they broke up and, despite seeing Bob Mould and Sugar a bunch over the years, not seeing the original trio still gnaws at me. Especially since every live performance of theirs that I've ever heard is insanely good.

I hate Tucker Carlson but Eichenwald somehow made him seem like the rational one when he was on his show after that story fell apart. He basically just yelled about not being allowed to talk and then, when given an opportunity, complained some more that he wasn't allowed to talk.

Radio City is perfection. And I really like that Belle & Sebastian comp. Lazy Line Painter Jane is probably my favorite song of theirs.

I don't usually recommend greatest hits albums but Human Amusements at Hourly Rates is a pretty great cross-section of GBV's career. Gives you a lot of the high quality stuff that's hard to parse out with their insanely huge catalog.

Laughner was one hell of a talent. Shame he managed to do himself in at a record pace.

Listening to Incidental Music by Superchunk this morning in an attempt to kickstart the cup of coffee I'm having. I think that later, some Bob Mould is in order.
