Damn, forgot about that. I still think that Bears team was not going to be denied in the SB though. Richard Dent was like 3 men possessed in that game.

And that from a man who has spent considerable time in the company of Henry Rollins.
Throughout the mid 80's, those Dolphin teams were loaded offensively and the defenses weren't that bad. The fact that he couldn't beat a Patriots team that was nowhere near as good in 86 is a big knock for me. Though the Bears probably would've destroyed Miami just as easily as they did NE that year.
The fact that Marino, despite his talent, only made one Super Bowl can't let me put him anywhere near the top. I'll give you Rodgers, Manning, and Elway though I would still take Brady over any of them but not Marino.
It's been a week and I still can't really believe the Pats pulled it out. I get the feeling that seeing highlights of this game years from now will be the Bizarro world version of watching Game 6 of the '86 World Series where, no matter how many times I've seen it, I still can't believe the Sox blow the game. This…
I was watching with my brother and when the Falcons went up 28-3, I decided to give it 5 more minutes before going home to watch old 30 Rock episodes with my non-football fan wife. Pretty glad I decided to stick it out.
I'd argue the order and put Parade over Controversy but all of them are pretty great.
All my Prince cd's are also on my Ipod which, at this point, is starting to resemble an ancient technology as well.
Not really big-name but no Camper Van Beethoven. David Lowery has spoken at length about how streaming services kill residual earnings for musicians.
Agreed. That's as close to a perfect album as there was in the 80's. There are others I love more but Sign O' The Times is just a genius operating at peak power across the board.
"You got floor all in my lima beans "
Still a pretty formidable group even without those two
Yeah, I'm not sure if it was Dave Alvin or Tony Gilkyson playing guitar on that album, but DJ was definitely the drummer.
The last time I saw X, John and Exene did an acoustic version of See How We Are but Billy and DJ were not onstage for it.
My wife and I have been rewatching X-Files and it's fun to see "things computers couldn't do in 1994" come up in about half the episodes. The future is now, Mulder!
At least he's a little more on the ball than Lance in Pulp Fiction who just keeps letting the phone ring while he enjoys a bowl of Fruit Brute.
Who are the Bad Seeds these days? Mick Harvey and Blixa are gone now, right?
He's coming to Boston. In June. Tickets are pricy though.
It's karmic justice when he gets busted for scalping Ozzy tickets.
With over a foot of snow looming for tomorrow here, I'm not inclined to argue.
