"In case you were wondering……Rita's dead"

Oh, that Dropo!

Sounds like they picked up Shirley Bassey.

In the second half of the issue, they just sit around lamenting the end of Treme.

He gets his exercise in the form of scissor kicks and twisting off bottle caps.

I don't usually recommend greatest hits albums but Human Amusements does a pretty good job of cherry picking the million songs. That said, the three records you named are essential.

Despite the assholishness of their Rebel Flag waving, I've never really felt Skynyrd, in their original incarnation, were Southern Rock either. They were just a hell of a rock and roll band whose best known song fit the template.

Bus taker!!!

Howling Wind is right up there for me but Sparks is just perfect across the board.

Joe Estevez is in this movie???

When I saw it again as an adult, I just kinda felt bad for John Amos. From Roots to that in a couple years was a big dropoff.

You start the game as Harvey Keitel but after a couple levels, you become Martin Sheen. Then, for a bizarre interlude in the middle, you're Joe Estevez. But only in an first person POV.

I was 16 in 1991 and the overplay of all the singles from Blood Sugar Sex Magik cemented a hatred of the Chili Peppers that continues unabated to this very day.

Anybody holding?

Squeezing Out Sparks is a masterpiece. The only good part of This Is 40 is that it gave Graham Parker a little late-in-life attention and probably a half decent paycheck.

That was an album where I liked a handful of songs but none enough to go back and cherry-pick the discs.

They should celebrate by touring with Train and Wire Train so it can be like one of those annoying Before and After Categories on Jeopardy. Plus, Train fans should all have to hear Reuters at some point in their lives.

They thought they were discussing the lack of porpoises in their world. They're just very poor spellers.

Sadly, D. Boon died before "Three Dudes, Six Sides, Half Studio, Half Live" could come into being. That said, Ballot Result has some good stuff.

To be fair, she could've been talking about K Records which she'd also assume we never heard of.
