There was nothing resembling "conventional blockbuster fare" anywhere in that movie, including the first act. So, I guess he failed?

The indians probably either let the boy come live with them, or used him for target practice later.

The first 1/3 of Valhalla Rising was fantastic. The second 2/3rds, not so much. Every filmmaker needs to watch the first third so they can see that dialogue isn't all that necessary for films, and it's better to have no dialogue than bad dialogue.

You're wrong. If I really hated Sufjan, I wouldn't give a shit about the shitty music he makes. I actually really enjoyed Michigan, Seven Swans, Illinois, and a few of his outtakes. I now feel those albums, while still good, don't hold up to how much I loved them before.

@GhaleonQ:disqus  Here's why my boring opinion is better than Sufjan's stupid song: Even though they're both ill-informed, unoriginal boilerplate, mine only wasted five seconds of your time, instead of 12 minutes.

I don't care for Lackthereof, but Tithe and Dirty Cartoons are two of my favorite tracks from Mines. I mostly enjoy Ramona Falls, but I think they all work better as a team.
