I thought Nick Kroll was nerd Nick Kroll.

@avclub-78bdfa83009fb79fce8a73303b724ee2:disqus  The problem is that after an event has occurred, there is no way to determine the odds of that event occurring. If Romney wins in a landslide, the odds could have been 99% or 0.0001% for a Romney landslide. So a Romney landslide wouldn't disprove anything Silver has

@avclub-78bdfa83009fb79fce8a73303b724ee2:disqus , per @avclub-10e60fa84b4c7c8d1f0c166bd731058a:disqus you obviously don't get what he's doing.

If he's "vindicated" then it will prove everyone missed the point. He's talking about probabilities, not soothsaying. The odds of a 9/11-style attack happening to any city on any day are astonishingly small, but sometimes improbable things happen. An unlikely event that occurs is still an unlikely event.

"Global" refers to a physical planet, while "world" generally refers to the collection of human existence, or discrete ontological or theological realms. Maybe Newt was still holding out hope there would be war between his moon colonies and the earth men?

That's a pretty good burn.

That's a pretty good burn.

I don't think that'll ever happen. It'd required either finding a lady willing to have sex with HDB, or convincing an adoption agency that HDB would be a good parent. I'm not sure which is less likely.

@avclub-3db41011acc2d229176bf6a92202728d:disqus McNutty did a godawful American accent. Don't for a second tell me that casting him was acceptable. I also cringed every time Carcetti said "governor"

You're the first gimmick poster I've truly hated from the cockles of my heart. I'm impressed, after a fashion.
