@avclub-19db33a7920e55ba3a32ab69d87f65b8:disqus I read that as Jerry having the lamest birthday aspirations ever more than his wife being aloof. Jerry seemed genuinely excited to turn in early and let his wife have a good time with her friends.

Office space perfected this joke. It should've been retired long ago.

I have a fond nostalgia for that episode because I was just getting really into The Who around that time and wasn't jaded about shoe'd in guest appearances yet. I also would've been 11 around the time so I guess it's a little more forgivable. It also has 1 or 2 funny quotes:

@avclub-9079ea527e08a24dfad44e3302d5f091:disqus There's a difference between a comedy show making jokes and a movie where a vaguely Middle Eastern villain is planning a large-scale attack on a big city.

If you stopped at Cujo you should really go back and check out Pet Semetary and Misery. I can't personally speak for the rest but I'm sure there's some other good ones between Cujo and Under the Dome.

It's dignity! Don't you even know what dignity looks like when you see it?

Opinions are fun!

I can't explain why but I think Stankonia's sketches add a cohesiveness to the album (especially the running "break!"). Also I think they're pretty hilarious and aren't 2 minutes of someone getting their dick sucked. Some highlights:

I think most people on this site (including myself) would disagree. Blue Album and Pinkerton are pretty much considered classics.

My guess would be making a joke early in the episode that wouldn't have been made in seasons 1-2 and then repeating said joke later in the episode (recurring IKEA guy comes to mind)

Did anyone else notice the (R.I.P. Sebastian [?]-2012) sign among the Jenna-hate signs? Anyone know what that was referencing (maybe something I missed earlier in the episode?)

I feel like the emphasis is supposed to be on "recycles" but it somehow got fucked up. I read that 3-4 times before I maybe figured it out.

I hope that the last episode ends with Stephen Fry knocking House off a waterfall.

That Pink Floyd poster where the naked woman have all the album covers painted on their backs (with a tasteful sliver of buttock)

The shock of Ann and Tom on a date followed by the apt justification by April followed by the date falling apart was just awesome.

"'No-strike bowling' bowler struck by Knope's striking beau."

I thought, by April's looks at the camera after she heard, that she called Millie and then regretted it afterwards.

Personal anecdote time: Me and my friends self-recorded an EP and released it on bandcamp about 2 weeks ago. A couple of days after I got a payment for the EP from a .de address. Then I got an email from a guy in Lichtenstein telling me he enjoyed the EP. For some people who just recorded with some iffy mics in our

I got a little misty during the chorus of Knope 2012. What the hell is wrong with me?

While all the descriptions sound awful, others have pointed out that most sitcoms, summed up in a sentence, sound pretty terrible. It would be really helpful if NBC just provided a (laugh-track) or (no laugh-track) after each new comedy.
