i think it's good storytelling to have katara & zuko removed. wouldn't having them there take away from korra, too much? i feel like then all her struggles would be on the backburner as they came in & saved the day.

the vinyl version of the album had the title both ways in the cover art & the record label. i remember me & my friend obsessing over which was the real name. i still flip it around in my head sometimes, cause i got the album before i read the name in say a music review.

in avatar, they showed us several times that fire bending is also the hardest to control & easiest to accidentally hurt someone. i feel like that may play into it somewhat.

i saw this tour twice live. it was the best live show they had done since i would say document.

up is pretty good. parakeet is a beautiful song. 
but i am one of the few who like around the sun quite a bit. boy in the well, high speed train and around the sun. i like all the meandering melancholic nature of these songs, and Michael's voice sounds great. 
to me their worst album by far is monster!

i remember just not liking monster (except for kenneth, which rocks). michael's voice just didn't sound that good.i've always liked the way r.e.m. had a "homey" feel to me & monster was def missing that vibe.
