Gumby and Pokey look just the same as in real life (if your real life is made of clay)

I remember a 1970s "Battle of the Network Stars" (I think) where Garner competed against a stunt driver to see who could do the fastest K-turn in Rockford's Firebird. Garner won easily, which I thought was pretty cool. Still do!

Thanks! Does that one get any airplay? I remember a surprising amount of it, for being 8-9 years old and only seeing it once. It was a really bleak episode. No matter how serious the show got, it usually managed a light-hearted tone; that episode was really dark.

Is that the one where he takes a woman out for a drive, they get into an altercation with a motorcycle gang, and she ends up being abducted and assaulted? Then her brother?, Jim's lawyer friend, infiltrates the gang? If so, I saw that the first time it aired as a little kid and it really upset me. I have never seen

Fondly remembered title of an article in a fondly remembered copy of Penthouse, circa 1978: ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT LOU REED. It still makes me smile, all these years later.
