My jaw hung open a bit when I read that you found this to be the weakest episode, Vikram, as I thought it was the 2nd best to date (the 1st was the first), largely because of the performances of Buscemi and Falco. They were both fairly mesmerizing (in my opinion this was the episode where they both fully realized

Yeah, it was painful to behold. Great acting across the board to deliver that pain.

It really was a perfect way to fill that narrative hole regarding what Horace's transgression could have possibly been, and why his children were so destroyed by it. Not only that, but we got to see Horace himself finally understanding the gravity of his own actions vicariously through how it harmed the emotional well

I couldn't agree with you more. Actors talk about that moment when they "know they are part of something special", and you get that feeling across the board with the cast of Horace and Pete. The phrase "work of art" comes to mind when I try to think of one sentence to sum it all up. It amazes me to see people

It struck me as a continuity error. There have been a few throughout the series (Horace's shirt going from untucked to tucked in episode 2 for instance). For some reason they don't distract me, they feel like part of the show's charm, if that makes any sense.

Out of the plot? It was massively narrative-related. It sews up all the question marks regarding why Horace's son won't speak to him and why his daughter is sickened by him (but trying not to be). It fills a major hole in the narrative for us. This is about as 'plot-centric' as the show has been to date. It also adds

My favorite scene: all the kids in front of the tv watching a deconstructed, faceless Sponge Bob screaming without relent. Louie gives it a brief, noncommittal look as if to say "is this what it's come to? Yeah, oh well."

Well, speaking on behalf of everynothing, let me just only merely almost saaaaay: We're all (nothing) glad that you (?) rote to tell us your thought(s).

"That was her ONLY option." You mean other than taking her boyfriend up on his mob connections?
