I didn't realize from my "In 3D" cassette until this very day that his originals are style parodies.  And my fucking mind is blown seeing how obvious the connections are.

I saw it opening weekend in theaters with two friends.  None of us had heard anything about it other than "it's different and spooky."  In hindsight, this was the perfect way to go into it.  Parts of it dragged but the found footage angle was clever to me, and the ending creeped the fuck out of all of us.
