But that, again, was just rehashing old cliches. I'd like to see a proper noir the same way they treated the Western.

I hated S3's fake clip show, which is why I'm predisposed to not care for this news.

Well they did, but not for this reason. This is merely the latest offense.

I actually do think this could be good, but nearly every bit of info we seem to get about season 5 seems to be about more pandering to the fans. It doesn't exactly make me optimistic.

I'd love to see a proper film noir episode, but one that featured actually good pulp dialog and an interesting plot rather than just resting on old cliches. If anyone could do it, it would be Community.

Hahaha, good point.

What if it's a clip show of past Dungeons & Dragons games that NEVER HAPPENED?!? Meta!

I'm happy to hear that Community is continuing its bold tradition in innovative storytelling by copying its innovative storytelling ideas from season 2. Truly this kind of shameless self-imitation is breaking new ground in the sitcom world.

I like how each reviewer mentioned here shakes their head sadly and slowly in a different way, there by showing a range of ways Sonia has failed them.

I've already fallen in love with Steven Universe. It's such a strange show that doesn't follow typical plot rhythms at all. And the music is simply beautiful.

All I remember of Galaxy Quest was being little when watching it and thinking Home Improvement/Santa Clause guy was pretty wacky, and that's funny.

I'm used to people treating it as flawless, which probably explains why I'm so bitter and contrarian about it.

I guess different strokes. I don't care for Out of Gas, The Message, or Heart of Gold, which is enough to upset any groove the show could have.

"the first Hitchcockian thriller sitcom"

If you have adblock and some kind of virus protection you should be fine, at least with the sites I use. Masters of Sex and Arrow are probably the two big shows I'm supporting right now.

Compared to the average the growing pains are small, but they're still pains. The cancellation was tragic, but it also means it never really hit a big consistent groove (outside of a couple stand out episodes like Jaynestown and Objects in Space).

Yeah, I get that, but I sometimes I feel it goes too much the other way. I'm sick of Firefly praise everywhere, when because of overhype I'll never really engage or be into it as much as my friends are.

Haha I forget how skewed my worldview gets while in here, especially because pretty much all my friends are dating.

Since you're watching Spartacus now, I'm going to assume you're okay with watching TV through more…extra-legal means, and recommend you watch Masters of Sex. It's really unique, and really really good.
