A recent issue of the Economist was talking about the Nordic countries' success, and listed The Killing among the region's artistic triumphs. I could only think, Oh man, if you knew how that sounded over on this side of the pond…

Also:
I dunno, the Santer Klantz bit from the Christmas episode was Ice-T, and it's one of my favorite things PFT's ever done on the show. I mean, probably top 10, but c'mon.
She's great on CBB and also like everywhere else where she's not playing a character. (I mean, she's a fine comic actress too, but that's not important right now.) I would go gay to be her gay best friend, honestly.
Nice call on VU & Nico. I'm not sure you could fully lay out what the Velvets were about in two songs, but those two wouldn't be a bad try at it.
Hey Erik, you're into Heavenly, right? "Me and My Madness"/"Modestic" is pretty solid, no? (Not that I'll argue that it beats Marquee Moon, but sometimes I'll just listen to "Modestic" on repeat.)
I like OK Computer a lot, but I've come to the eventual conclusion that "Paranoid Android" is one of the less-great songs on that album. It's still great, as is everything except for "Fitter Happier" and "Electioneering," but I'd take "Everything"/"Kid A" over it.
Also modern pop culture references, like Dane Cook and Master P. (Okay, well, at least post-'80s pop culture references.)
Cheryl was never not a sickly depraved sex addict, except I guess sort of in the pilot.
I'm still not totally sure why they didn't find a why to make "And the whore has bangs" the last line before opening credits. It's pretty much perfect for that.
Was the trucker guy played by Kevin Gillespie, of Top Chef and local-to-Atlanta fame? That name showed up in the credits, and he seemed to be modeled on him…
Yeah, he gonna get it.
Oh my god, I didn't even realize those were Human Centipede paper dolls. That's awesome.
Because when I think skilled, competent, and thoughtful, I think Moore and Spurlock.
I am now opening the floor for questions.

I'm so happy this was the first reply to the first comment.
But MAN ASS is not! Boycott!
It specified excellent songs.
