Was thinking of this song too. Has the one line that really grosses me out: "I pull out more and more copper spaghetti." Maybe they're holding it back for their list of songs about self-dentistry.

Similar to the montage in Mr. Mom where Michael Keaton gets back in shape and takes control of the house… and to the Rocky theme if I remember right.

The phrase "torture porn" just needs to go away. It's just an easy method for someone to completely invalidate a movie or anyone else's opinion on a movie. It's similar to "chick flick" and other terms that serve the same purpose. By calling a movie torture porn the person doesn't have to show any other opinion about

My criteria for the quality of a movie typically is how much the movie made me feel or think, if it got me involved somehow emotionally or intellectually, even if it evokes emotions like despair or fear. I may not want to watch those movies again soon, but they're definitely effective.

The reason it's a woman at the end, as it is always in horror movies, is because the audience can more easily feel compassion for a female character than a male character. It's pretty basic and has fuck all to do with misogyny or enjoyment of watching women die.

It's interesting how Zombie's Halloween movies keep popping up in people's favorite horror movie lists. They've been derided so much but there's some small corner of horror fans and critics that absolutely love them, especially the second one.

It's interesting watching and reading his older reviews when he'd bring up the "What about the children?" arguments. He did the same thing with the review for Silent Night, Deadly Night. He then had to argue against people who used that argument when he was pushing for the NC-17 rating so that movies with adult

I started devouring horror movies at a young age and got to watch whatever I wanted. As a kid/teenager only two movies really freaked me out. This and Gates of Hell/City of the Living Dead. I've still only watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre a few times since then and still leaves me feeling weird, icky, scared, and

Really looking forward to GTA V. Supposedly the map is bigger than GTAIV, Red Dead, and San Andreas combined.

Yup, you're right, there is a blu-ray and reviews for it look really good. Especially with a commentary track with Dekker picking the movie apart and getting into the gritty details of making it. A definite purchase.

Plus it's family-oriented so there are tons of kids, usually running back and forth between the shitty game room and the tables. Not to mention the lack of good beer on tap for a place that's supposed to be for watching sports.

I haven't seen Night of the Creeps in a long damn time. I don't know why I don't own that and watch it all the time. I don't know if it's Tom Atkins best role ever, but he's pretty awesome.

Silent Night, Deadly Night is given way too low a grade here. If the point of a slasher is just to be entertaining then it's at least a solid B. There's not a boring moment in that movie. You got creepy coma grandpa warning a kid about killer Santas, a killer Santa murdering a kid's family in front of him, the fucked
