Didn't he also stink it up in Christine?
Didn't he also stink it up in Christine?
I am definitely not one to expect all nudity to be titillating. And that's my whole point - showing someone getting dressed is mundane. It happens frequently enough on this show, and only with Hannah, that it just makes me wonder Dunham's motivation. And as I told Grrr Argh, I don't think being somewhat or a full…
….and yet, here you are.
I don't think it's "wrong" in any way. I guess I assumed everyone walks around their house naked. Maybe you assumed that I think exhibitionism is wrong? I still think that plays a part in her character choices for Hannah. Nothing wrong with it.
I meant she should have made Hannah order the pizza/feed them.
Ho's before Bro's. Typically you don't sleep with exes.
It must have hurt Marnie's feelings too - Hannah couldn't even stand one weekend with just her, she had to add a group of bitchy gay men to the mix, one of whom was the cause of a huge fight they had. It was a huge asshole move on Hannah's part. If she didn't want to be there, she shouldn't have agreed to go.
When that bomb drops, it's going to split up Shosh and Marnie, and that will be the first real splintering of the group (or second depending on how you view Marnie and Hannah's relationship).
A Sliding Doors Girls?
I definitely think Lena Dunham is an exhibitionist.
Although, Marnie should have seen it coming and just ordered pizza from somewhere and made everyone pay up. They were heavily drinking and naked swimming, they clearly weren't going to leave. Or she could have made Hannah do it.
There has to be something she's leaving out. I'm sure we'll find out.
No kidding - who makes fun of food that was prepared for you? I don't care how drunk you are.
I have definitely been in the situation that Marnie was in, where I had certain "plans" and they sort of fell apart, and I was the most sober one of the bunch while everyone else is shit-faced. It can be hard for me to roll with it sometimes especially when food is involved. But the guys in this episode were beyond…
I think she was just trying to make a point that she wouldn't give herself the nicest room, and wanted to be closer to Hannah. And the lighthouse was "bohemian".
Even in beach towns in the Caribbean you wear a wrap, a towel, a sheer cover-up, something over your bathing suit when you go into town, and flip flops. Doesn't matter your body shape. Hannah really is the least self-aware character on TV.
There's also the Blade Runner reference mixed in - based on the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", which was the inspiration for "Are Friends Electric".
Of COURSE he was the bad guy!
I was sitting down to dinner, thinking "eh, I think it's safe to watch Almost Human while I eat, shouldn't be too gross". And of course he eats a live slug in the first two minutes.
Yeah, now it's TV shows that take a year to come out on video/streaming.
