Great to see Harper's Island mentioned here. So sad that the show remains virtually unknown. For slasher movie fans, it's a must-see.

So far, so good!

Right out of the gate, this season sets up it's pieces for the long game then knocks them all over. It's not going to play the game I thought it would. That's been one of the show's strengths and I'm happy to see it embracing a sudden detour into chaos straight away.

The exposition seemed on par with most TV shows but I couldn't help thinking even newcomers were finding it tedious, as there was a lot of it. Might have worked better if they stretched the back story material across multiple episodes, as needed.

I'm hoping Tomorrow People and The 100 are decent. I like the premise of the two and we sure do need more sci fi on the TV.

I love how Wong Kar Wai illustrates the way these two lives converge over multiple trips up and down that staircase, and out to the noodle stall.

Great Torchwood…and great TV
So much good content in this episode but I can't help but wonder if any of it plays well to viewers who haven't seen prior seasons.

Season one
What a great batch of television this show is. Season one is just about the most perfect ride I could have hoped for.
