The only time I remember her losing it is when she's in the Chinese capsule, which she's had literally no training in, doesn't know the alphabet, and can only try to do things by analogizing to the Russian capsule (plus they've established that piloting the Soyuz was the thing she was worst at in training).

I've never been a big fan of hers (except maybe while watching Speed for the first time) but the film sets up the stakes and tension so well that I don't know if I've ever been so invested in a character before. Every detail of her body & mind & personality become important and precious. Even her voice.

HP3 definitely gets the "most improved" award from me; Cuaron took the series up to a higher level. But I think some of the later films (especially HP6) managed to get a little higher by standing on his shoulders.

And in the following book, get rid of the evil that is the progressive income tax!  Plus, give Jerusalem to the Vatican!

He was the author who taught me that you sometimes had to look out for the political messages that got smuggled in through great writing, but should enjoy the writing anyway.

I can't speak to what it would be like now, but I think at the time it had inherent interest because it seemed possible that such a thing might happen any time. Plus it definitely flowed better than other books of that sort such as the Third World War series (the second of which, Third World War: The Untold Story

Big enough to knock.

although Ms. Wildling is sometimes confused with Therin's sister, Greyhawk?.

Lives in a trash can…check.  Grouchy…check.

Obvs Weyoun intercepted the rhymes.

Close, but while the answer to #2 is indeed "not enough" the answer to #3 is "not NEARLY enough".  Partial credit A-.

I haven't seen TWE, and have heard it's great, but I always wonder why people think it's worth replying that they know something isn't true when they have less to base this on than the OP does.

I really liked it too. Had some important stuff to say, said it in a very entertaining way, and then ended at a spot where most movies would go on for another half-hour for no good reason.

I'm with relish.

"Bloodwine Fervour" could be a Tom Petty song

Reminds me of Kira's great line in The Quickening: "I will come to Quark's. And I WILL have fun."

Exactly this. If there happens to be one part of the ship that burns out as a result of combat, and is easier to replace than to repair, it could easily become the focus of a "We're Really In The Shit Together!" ceremony.

"Why are you telling me this?"
