There was. I had appalled conversations with a friend of mine who just couldn't seem to hear how racist she sounded.

Not great, but still awesome. That Thor was so totally committed to the part I can't not love it.  (But at the same time I recognize it's good the planned series didn't happen.)

The real shame is that you can't say really racist things anymore without people having the kneejerk reaction that you're a racist. I don't understand what happened to my America.

I can see that, but I don't think that was on offer. At best you might get "worthy of being in a box set with…".

I'm going to go ahead and say that Timothy Dalton was the best actor to play Bond, but no where near the best Bond.  Roger Moore would be the reverse.

*SPOILER*: He learns that even an Emperor cannot escape…himself.

Have him do it in a Superbear costume and we've got a deal.

It's under the iguanas, Clark.

They're too busy making sequels to Rocky.

Came down here specifically to see if a fellow Dementite had beaten me to this. Kudos!

He's on the last leg of his trip.

@avclub-7aefa9e2af18cd9e2fde628a5e813aa5:disqus : That's a great point, and you'd think someone in the live-actions would pick up on it. "Which is the mask?" questions aside, if you make the Wayne voice a little off-kilter in one direction, you don't have to push the Batman voice nearly as far in the other.

Batman Returns was the first time I really noticed Christopher Walken (though looking back I must have already seen him in Dead Zone and Annie Hall), and I clearly remember thinking: "This guy is so much more badass than any of the costumed people, without a mask or gadgets or even looking like he's trying."

@avclub-b96eae49a425d21803217a71fe5afacf:disqus : Sugar & Spice remind me of how so often in a super villain team-up only one of them has the people skills necessary to have minions (for instance Penguin in the original Batman movie). So in Batman Forever there's a nice moment where Sugar (I think) is Riddler's

It's where whores go.

*pats head*  Condescending means "talking down to".

Also he and one of S&P ballroomed around a bit during the final SNL goodbye / hugs segment. Which I'm assuming was some combination of a lifelong dream of hers and/or a dare from the other member of S&P.

Have fun! I will be at the snooty WorldCon in San Antonio. Which makes at least two years in a row that the two have gone head-to-head (bad idea, WorldCon).

General Benjamin Butler 4eva! Contrabands & Women Of The Town or GTFO!

Hell, yeah!
