It's been a super-boring season, but nothing can even come close to approaching Season 2, for obvious reasons:  Ilan.  Betty.  Frank.  Marcel.  Sam (being "hunky" doesn't get you excused from being a prissy shit-starter).  Otto being accused of cheating and dropping out.  Betty actually cheating and staying in.  Elia

I hadn't heard a thing about this show or seen any of the promotional materials, and watched solely on the AV Club's recommendation (and some Twitter chatter).

Another Lana Del Rey article?  This is a blatant attempt to get more pageviews and comments, and I won't be taken in!

"Hey!  We were watching that!"

Whoever said I'd be the one receiving it?

No, I remembered that IMDb exists.  Seriously, though, I did watch the first couple episodes of that show, and thought it was pretty good. It certainly beats Whitney into the ground.

Between this season and last, it seems that Puerto Rico's main export is drag queens.  Carmen Sandiego really led me astray on this.

She had that other sitcom, right?  Miss MatchedMiss Behavin'?  Hang on a sec…  Ah, Miss Guided.  It really wasn't half-bad, even if I can't remember a single thing about it.

An Adam Sandler movie with a draft script from a Chipmunks screenwriter based on a children's board game?  Sign me up!

False dichotomy.  Hehe… "dich".

"I must have fruit!"

It sounds like you might like the most recent episode of the /Filmcast (podcast).  They get into a pretty contentious discussion about the difference between a movie being a personal favorite and a movie being objectively good.

And no, it may not be as rich an evocation of film history as Hugo…

Logo is not part of my cable package (heh…package), so does anyone know if/when VH1 is going to re-air the new Drag Race episodes?

That's exactly what I thought was going to happen, too.  So instead of his death being inevitable and telegraphed a mile away, it came as an actual shock.

So this is a talk-me-down moment, because like Erik, I've never seen Deadwood, and there are a couple of big factors keeping me from racing to catch up with it.  I saw some comments on the John From Cincinnati article about how people didn't give it enough of a chance because it didn't live up to Deadwood, but I've

It's shameful that there isn't more "Rough Science" available for renting or streaming, because that show was amazing.

I actually liked The Princeless Bride.  There were plenty of those horrible "Surprise!  You're dead!" moments, but at least they followed up with a hint about how to avoid that next time.

The Last Express was fantastic, but man, was it difficult in places.  I'm not sure I've ever played another game where events transpire whether you're there to witness them or not.

She's the only one to have ever mouthed back to the judges and "won".  She gets a medal just for that.
