I agree about the sharp design, except for the first task.  Phil spends two minutes explaining what sounds like will be a nicely devious mental task, only for it to turn into a bunch of hysterical umbrella opening, with absolutely no critical thinking necessary to getting off to a good start.

Agreed.  "What's Going On" is blatantly terrible.

I'm happy to be alive during this explosion of entertainment centered around cooking (both informational and competitive), but Jesus, is it ever time to get some new vanguards.  One-note hacks like Ramsay, Guy Fieri, and yeah-I'll-say-it Paula Deen are becoming more irritatingly omnipresent by the day.

I'd say that Harriet person on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", if I could have stomached watching that shit show for more than two minutes to get any evidence for my argument.
