Are we collectively the AV Club, or are we the Waldorfs and Statlers of the AV Club?

I think I'm feeling kind of nostalgic about Willow, too. I haven't seen it in years either.
A good reason to read Ayn Rand is so that you get the jokes when you watch that Simpsons episode where they put Maggie in that Ayn Rand daycare center . . .
Cartoon Network has trotted out a number of non-cartoon reality-type shows recently. They were all highlighted in a commercial I had to sit through during the trailers before "Up". Yet another channel replacing their bread-and-butter with reality shows . . . yes I'm talking about YOU, MTV.
"Death Cab For Cutie" is still worse.
I've given birth to two of them, and I'd say their proportions are all wrong for a very good reason.
Maybe I'm starting to get desensitized to those CGI babies . . .
I didn't find that creepy at all. Those babies have some fly moves, too.
Knowing how far she eventually goes sort of takes a bit of the fun out of re-watching Doppelgangland. Evil ORW is 10 times scarier than VW.
Exactly. Reading these threads, my mind keeps going back to watching the A-Team dubbed in German. When I moved to Germany as a teen in the late 80s I suddenly found myself without cable TV or even access to a single English-speaking channel. My aunt would mail us video tapes (Twin Peaks, The Simpsons) to easy our…
I went to college in central Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). There's yokels and then there's Decatur yokels.
Ah, yes. ADM. The people that help bring us the $5 box of Corn Flakes. We shouldn't be laughing, people. We should be crying!
So TomWaits is advocating the Freudian projection of Katy Perry's cans onto someone else's. As a sentient being with cans, I'm a little disturbed.
I was also surprised about Arcade Fire. There's a YouTube video of Bruce performing Keep the Car Running with Arcade Fire. I won't link to it, because the camera is so unsteady it gave me motion sickness. After the fanboys are done freaking out (drowning out the audio) it sounds pretty decent.
I tried YHF as my Wilco starting point and didn't like it. My brother and some AV Club commenters from a previous Wilco article suggested Being There and Summerteeth instead. I haven't had a chance to listen to either of these yet.
HBO had Once in pretty heavy rotation there for a while. I watched it many, many times. Still love it.
The font is weird enough that you notice it, but does it really add to the aesthetic of the show? Seems kind of pointless to me.
Last week (or the week before?) one commenter was thoroughly taunted for suggesting Hoyt was hotter than Jason. Hoyt's definitely sweeter. I hope they keep that storyline going. They can't start all the episodes with Bill erasing someone's memory, right?
Actually, in HEAVEN there is no beer. That's why we drink it here. A wise man with an accordion told me this.
I scrolled down to the bottom hoping to find a firstie about Xander's deflowering. Add a little Michael Jackson and now I feel icky.
Rota's score for Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet is the only movie score I own. I had musicians play a piece from that at my wedding.
