There are definitely lesser episodes in the first season, but I don't think there are any that are completely not worth watching.

Exactly. I really like that they laugh at each other's jokes. Whether it's just acting or they, the actors, are actually amused by the lines/delivery, it makes the whole thing really feel like a bunch of friends sitting around talking shit.

HIMYM is actually one of the shows where I find the laugh track pretty unobtrusive. Would it be better without? Probably. But it's not like 2.5 Men or something where the "audience" is braying with laughter so much that it steps on lines and jokes.

It's hilarious. Find time to squeeze in the first issue at least. It's worth it.
