Were you really that busy with Mission Hill?

The final scene of T&B might be my favorite moment in the series. Franco was just fantastic throughout this whole run.

1. Girlfriends and Boyfriends
2. Tests and Breasts
3. Carded and Discarded
4. Pilot
5. Noshing and Moshing

That whole Dominos tangent is the hardest I've laughed since the Charles Bronson as Batman routine.

Hider in the House
Rocky IV
Ewoks: Battle for Endor

Mom called it "psychologically taut"

Actually made that comparison too - big fan of Marling in general, Another Earth in particular. Both she and Caruth are pretty savvy in their incorporation of genre elements into weightier, more personal stories. The few fantastic elements that
are present, however, serve to enrich the wider themes of identity,
loss,

For me Room 237 plays almost like the movie version of a Girl Talk album - less of a documentary than a collage, The Shining remixed through the prism of pop-culture analysis. In a way it's only partly a film about Shining fandom; it’s mostly a film about the way we’ve come to process pop-culture as a way of

I often recommend the Jon Hamm/Gary Marshall/Nick Lowe ep as a solid starter, but this is a great choice.

This movie got heavy rotation on Cinemax circa '99-'00, but I managed to completely put it out of my memory until this podcast. It's every bit as obnoxious as it sounds.

In fairness, the film doesn't whitewash over the terrible shit they did. It's a gaudy, excessive piece of work, which can either be seen as a reflection of the movie's themes or just Bay being Bay, but I think the film is pretty clear in presenting the Sun Gym trio as diluted and dangerous idiots (unless you also

I'll listen to them on my commute and sometimes during work if it's not too demanding. If I'm new to a podcast I'll usually binge on a handful of episodes to get a feel for it. After that, I'll listen if I'm interested in the guest or if it's recommended on here.

Agreed - I prefer the Maltin game when the panel consists of DLM veterans, but Lincoln/Bane is much easier for first-timers/non-listeners to pick up on.

This show is always one of my favorites, but this current stretch of episodes starting with Batman Forever has been particularly strong.

Loooooooooongfellow!

Hopefully they were Beliebers.

There is a severe lack of Oz on this site. I vote for "Variety"

On Freddy Got Fingered: "This movie doesn't scrape the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't the bottom of the barrel. This movie isn't below the bottom of the barrel. This movie doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with barrels."

That may have been Basic Instinct 2, one of his all-time best.
