So have lots of us. Typical celebs jumping on the whole morbid train ;-)
Maybe he can take solace from listening to someone whose work is slightly more cheerful like maybe Elliott Smith's.
90% of Office Workers Ready To Die, Still Too Many Days to Weekend
This is making me sad that Comedy Central have farmed the archive out to Hulu which hates and despises UK viewers.
Maria Bamford takes a couple of shots/light hearted jabs at dour auteur comedies in Lady Dynamite.
I want a comedy series that manages to be funny without eventually either making most to all of the characters totally unlikeable (the AD route) or making too many of the characters too broad (eventually 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt S2).
Hey, Savage Love is here:
We'd be much better robbing the bankers before they flee due to Brexit or forcibly taking ownership of pretty much any house in London. The monarchy has less money than you might think (and it comes from the public purse anyway).
Late night shows are often like the mobile phones of five to seven years ago. They do everything but they don't do any of it well.

Well until Brexit. Now people will have to regenerate in Milton Keynes.
Most British sitcoms stick more closely to their status quo to the bitter end though. I love Linehan's work but there's almost zero character development really in Father Ted, Black Books and The IT Crowd.
It's interesting to speculate how many classic shows would have been able to go on so long and do so well now when things seem to be increasingly specific and niche and there are so many options.
