The alternate credits song was my favourite part of this episode. I enjoyed watching it but I don't enjoy flashback episodes particularly in general.

Like most events it probably had numerous causes (immigration, idea we don't control all aspects of law-making, people tend to associate it with bureaucracy and everyone has either forgotten/never experienced living through the kind of instability that marked Europe early in the 20th C).

America certainly has a fair few white mass shooters. Do you honestly think Fundamentalist Islamist terrorists have a monopoly on committing violent acts? Any guesses how many people the US kills with drones extrajudicially in countries you aren't officially at war with?

Totally irrelevant to whether or not Trump has a sneering contempt for half of America's population which can be inferred from scattered comments from the 80s onwards about women's looks and attractiveness (which he seems to consider their most important characteristic).
