I remember a movie on sale at K-Mart (long ago, so not this one) that was billed as "Leo THE LION: KING of the Jungle" (all caps stands in here for a much larger font). The same company had also made knockoffs of the all the other 1990s Disney movies, but at least those were all based on public domain stories.

The newly branded MTV Classic aired the first hour of this earlier today (including the commercials, which were maybe the most interesting part). The funniest part was two-second clips of the then-unknown VJs stiffly introducing themselves, followed by Goodman (who hosted the first hour) giving us a highly premature

Fair enough - the hard c may be the real classical pronunciation, but the soft c is the original English pronunciation and has been corrected in a way that Caesar, Cicero, etc. have not been (and relatively recently also - the sports-team namers in both Glasgow and Boston might never have heard the hard version).

It seems to be airing this "morning" at the usual time as the last program under the VH1 Classic name. I hope the last song played is "The End of the World As We Know It" (although a scroll through the cable guide indicates that it will indeed be on again).

This certainly demonstrated that Kevin of Jeopardy! flop fame is not the only less-than-adept game show player from the Shark Tank cast. Can anyone knowledgeable about that show reveal how well or poorly these people come across on their home turf?

You win.

I like to be surprised.

The old VH1 Classic was actually using that name for a two-hour block of just videos (no host segments - not actual old episodes) that generally aired at 4:00 A.M. I don't know if it will survive the change.

I was honestly afraid that he might try Ruth for the later Mantle clue, but fortunately he knew that one.

Some of this is interesting (I haven't seen Daria in a long time), but does this mean they won't be showing old music videos anymore? I kind of liked that a channel like that was out there, even though I only watched it once in a while.

Maybe I am viewing this through a distorted lens as a resident of Providence, where there are several plaques and busts in his honor that did not exist a decade ago, and possibly even a full-fledged statue on the way, but it seems as if Lovecraft continues to get more and more popular - even as racist comments and

We did not have a Pranjal 7.

Will we ever get the Bob's Burgers soundtrack?

And National Lampoon's Vacation. All three films included a fatality of an elderly relative in the Arizona desert.

My closest friend from college is from Rockland County and used to get very angry when anyone so much as suggested that Rockland County was upstate. Especially if the other person was from Long Island - he had statistics at his fingertips as to how much closer Rockland is to Manhattan than the outer parts of Long
